I once in lived in a beach town in Queens, NY where the winters were frigid and harsh and the summers yielded humid days, hydrangea lalapalooza (I mean everywhere) and  ankle-high floods. I ache for that town. I miss walking the beach there and finding the old man in the crab shack, sand rolling around in my left shoe–always my left shoe, and the colorful rundown shacks that prompted my daydreaming of bygone days. Oh how painful is nostalgia.
